| Notes | Lucy and Matthias up visiting from England and Matthias fancied a Munro. Drove through in the morning, saw a black Lamborghini Urus on the road there! Parking was rammed because the weather was really nice but I know you have to be careful where you park because it's officiously checked by wardens so we went in the 2nd smaller overflow parking. We forged up the forest route at the start (like I remembered from the first time I did the hill) and showed a few guys the way who were a bit lost.
The walk was tough to start with but eased off a little as we got beyond the trees and the view over Arrochar was great. We continued on towards the top where it was very windy. Took a quick photo and then sought refuge from the wind and to have some lunch (Matthias had made some cheese sandwiches). The walk back down was less interesting and it got considerably busier as we went past the Cobbler. Eventually came back to the car park to see tens of cars with parking tickets! Anyone who wasn’t properly in a bay (e.g. had parked on a verge) got ticketed - thankfully not us. |
